The film would be a Christmas release and will release on 23 December 2011 in 3D. The film is also expected to be dubbed in Telugu and Tamil, which will be releasing along with the Hindi version.
The film's original score and soundtrack has been composed by the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, who also composed the music for the first installment of the series. Before the release of the album, there were reports that a song from it had been moving around in the internet. However, the report was declared as a rumour.
